Standard Counselling Sessions
The fee for 2024/2025 is $230 per 50-minute individual counselling session. Clients with a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) from their GP or a referral from their psychiatrist can receive a Medicare rebate of $141.85 per session. The gap fee or out of pocket fee, after the rebate, per session, is $88.15.

Clients with a valid mental health care plan are entitled to 10 sessions of Medicare subsidised Clinical Psychology sessions per calendar year (please note the above gap fee). 

Private health rebates may also apply for some health funds for both face to face and online therapy (please check with your health fund).

Cost: $200 (for 50-60 mins consultation). No rebates.

EMDR Assessment Package
You can purchase the EMDR Assessment package if you are unsure of whether to undertake the full EMDR therapy treatment, which is an eight-phase program for treating traumatic experiences. The EMDR Assessment package includes online screening tests and three 1-hour consultations with me. It covers the first three phases of EMDR Therapy:

Phase 1: Review of online screening tests and history-taking
Phase 2: Preparing the client.
Phase 3: Assessing the target memory

Cost: $690 (for 3 sessions). Rebate of $141.85 applicable per session, with a valid mental health care plan. Out of pocket costs $264.45.

EMDR Reprocessing Package
The EMDR Reprocessing package is a separate package that covers the remaining five phases of EMDR therapy, including:

Phases 4-7: Processing the memory to adaptive resolution
Phase 8: Evaluating treatment results.

Cost: $1,150 (for 5 sessions). Rebate of $141.85 applicable per session, with a valid mental health care plan. Out of pocket costs $440.75.
